Background According to Board Policy 8.80, the Board, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, must accept all gifts individuals or organizations contribute to the District.

Summary: Washington Elementary School has been awarded a 2020 Mathical Book Prize Collection Development Award by the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) and the School Library Journal. The award provided $700.00 to Washington for the purchase of titles from the Mathical Book Prize list for the Washington Library Learning Center. By donating these items, MSRI and the School Library Journal transfer ownership of the items and relinquish to District 200 the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items donated.
