Background: Fixed assets no longer needed for school purposes should be declared surplus by the Board of Education prior to their disposal.

Summary: The Department of Technology has old and/or broken equipment that is no longer of use to the District. Usable parts have been stripped from these devices to assist in repairing other equipment. Items included on these pallets are laser/ink jet printers, scanners, mini-hubs, switches, desktop computers, laptop computers, monitors, keyboards/mice and various cables.

Along with items listed above the district will be disposing of the Printing Press used in the Print Shop.

Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Education declare these items surplus and allow the District to dispose of them using a reputable E-Recycling Company.
