Continue to work to address projects identified in the Facilities Master Plan, through the dedicated budget allocation for capital facility projects per Board policies.
Background: The Facilities Committee reviewed and recommended a number of projects to be completed this summer as identified in both the Facilities Master Plan as well as the capital plan. The Committee recommended and the Board approved going out to bid on several projects. These project bid packages will go out as a General Contractor project. The project includes lighting and stage work at three schools, fire alarm at Monroe, and toilet renovations at Wheaton North High School.

Summary: The bid opening was held on March 6, 2020. Thirteen (13) contractors obtained bid packets, and four (4) contractors responded. The base bid for flooring, electrical, and auditorium work at Wheaton Warrenville South High School, as well as an alternate for toilet room renovations at Wheaton North High School are being recommended in the amount of $787,100.
Funding: O & M Capital Renewal Fund and Capital Projects Fund
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Education award the bid for $787,100 to LJ Morse Construction Co.
