Subject: Approval of Change Orders for 2019 Summer Construction Projects for Flooring

Continue to work to address projects identified in the Facilities Master Plan, through the dedicated budget allocation for capital facility projects per Board policies.
Policy:
Background: During the summer of 2019, TSI Commercial Flooring, Inc was contracted for flooring work at five (5) schools in the amount of $1,010,650.00, which included $75,000 in allowance. During the 2019 Summer Construction Projects, several modifications were made to the contract resulting in change orders and credits to the contract.

Summary: The change orders have been reviewed by Legat Architects and District Administration. A cover letter from Legat Architects and a change order summary are attached to this report. These changes were due to field conditions, added or reduced scope, and resulted in a credit change order of ($38,907.50), for a final contract amount of $971,742.50
Funding: 2019-2020 Budget - Fund 60, Site and Construction Fund
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Education accept the change orders as presented and indicated in the change order forms.
