Background: A committee of teachers reviewed best practice and current material options in order to make a selection for the World Civilization I and Advanced World Civilization courses. The teachers chose:

Summary: Because the current textbooks for the World Civilization 1 and Advanced World Civilization courses are outdated, the committee reviewed various materials. The materials include resources for differentiation and assessment. Upon approval to post, these textbooks will be on display 30 days at the School Service Center. Any community member returning a feedback form will receive a call from a member of the Educational Services Department. The instructors selected the World History for World Civilization course 1 and World History and Geography for Advanced World Civilization course to bring to the Board for approval to post for public review and comment.
