A committee of teachers reviewed best practice and current material options in order to make a selection that will be used by both the Junior English and AP English Literature and Composition courses. The teachers chose:

Summary:
Because the current textbook for the High School Junior English, and AP English Literature courses is outdated, the committee reviewed various materials. The materials include resources for differentiation and assessment. This textbook has been on display 30 days at the School Service Center. No feedback was received from the community.  
Funding:
Total cost for 605 copies (20 classroom sets) with 7 years of online access, plus 307 additional online licenses (912 online licenses total): $119,001.29. Funding has been allocated within the Fiscal Year 20 budget.  
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Board approve My Perspectives: English Language Arts textbook as presented.
