Background: According to Board Policy 8.80, the Board, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, must accept all gifts individuals or organizations contribute to the District.

Summary: The Sandburg Elementary School PTA has purchased the following items during the 2016-17 academic year and donated them for the benefit of the students and staff at the school: 30 Chromebooks and charging cart, 2 I-pads, books, Lego education set and recorders. The cost of the aforementioned items was $9,542.04

By donating these items, Sandburg PTA transfers ownership of the items and relinquishes to District 200 the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items donated.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board accept the gifts from Sandburg PTA as presented.
